A three year project transforming the environment of a sports and community facility.

There were seven projects:

  1. Landmark - the Wymering Tree
  2. Boundary area - the Wymering Wall
  3. Narrative Path
  4. Landscaping
  5. Entrance to centre 'the bridge of memory'
  6. Reminiscence archive
  7. Wall Hangings

Peter Dunn, lead artist and co-ordinator, working with Portsmouth based artists:Peter Coddling, Janice Shales and Dot to Dot Arts. Peter Dunn, commissioned by Portsmouth City Council, fundraised for almost £0.5 (including Arts Lottery, and in addition to £1m from Sports lottery for the Building and hard landscaping) , developed the outline design brief and project managed the works, liaising with architects and landscape architects in the construction of a new-build community and sports centre and environments based upon Agenda 21 principles. He also produced the landmark work, the Wymering Tree. Budget £0.5m
